Summer Camp

The program is for horse loving kids ages 6 and up, who want to learn about basic horse care, preparing horses for showing, and improving riding skills.  Camp runs in one week sessions starting at 8:00 am and concluding at 3:00 pm.

 

2017 Summer Camp Dates:

July 17 - July 19 (Three day week): $325

July 31 - August 4 (Five day week): $375

Typical Camp Schedule:

8:00- Arrive at Kline View Stables.  Start the day by feeding the horses.

9:00- Start working with the horses by learning to groom, saddle, and bridle them.

9:30- First group of students will have a 1 1/2 hour lesson.  Second group of students will have work duty and snack time.

11:00- Second group of students will have a 1 1/2 hour lesson, while the first group has work duty and snack time.

12:30- Lunch time for both groups.

1:30- Swim time for all campers.

2:30- Time for horse videos and horsey crafts, a blacksmith demonstration, horse clipping and bathing with hands on experience, or field trips to Class A horse shows.  Activities will differ each day.

3:00- End of Day.
